Reducing the environmental impact of off-ground cultivation of cut flower species in the Western Riviera (FUORISUOLOSMART)
RDP 2014-2020 Measure 16.01
Goals
In order to achieve smart irrigation, an APP, combined with a greenhouse lysimeter, has been developed and tested that can automatically control the main parameters of the above-ground crop by promptly reporting when to irrigate, how to fertilize, any abnormalities and how to solve them, so as to reduce the environmental impact and increase the profitability of these crops.

Demonstration visit
A hands-on meeting was held at the Florcoop farm on April 7, 2022, to illustrate the operation of the lysimeter and smartphone APP for monitoring the main parameters of the above-ground crop: pH, conductivity of both the incoming and drained solution, amount of water administered at each intervention and relative percentage of drainage, main climatic factors.
